Railway RRB Group D Exam Pattern and Syllabus 2025 for Computer Based Test (CBT)

The Railway RRB Group D Exam 2025 (Level-1, CEN 08/2024) is one of the most competitive recruitment exams conducted by the Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs). The Computer Based Test (CBT) will be held from 27 November 2024 to 16 January 2025 in multiple shifts across India. Candidates preparing for this exam must clearly understand the latest exam pattern and syllabus to plan an effective preparation strategy.

The RRB has also released the Group D Exam City Intimation Slip 2025, allowing candidates to check their exam city details before the admit card.

Railway RRB Group D Selection Process 2025

The RRB Group D (Level-1) recruitment process consists of four stages:

1. Computer Based Test (CBT)

2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

3. Document Verification (DV)

4. Medical Examination

👉 Candidates are shortlisted for PET in a 3:1 ratio (three times the number of vacancies).
👉 Final selection after DV and Medical is done in a 1:1 ratio, strictly based on merit.

Railway RRB Group D Exam Pattern 2025 (CBT)

The CBT is an objective-type online exam with a total of 100 questions.

Key Highlights:

• Total Questions: 100

• Total Marks: 100

• Exam Duration: 90 minutes
  (120 minutes for PwBD candidates with scribe)

• Question Type: MCQs

• Negative Marking: ⅓ mark deducted for each wrong answer

• Normalization of marks will be applied if the exam is conducted in multiple shifts

🧠 General Intelligence & Reasoning

Analogies, Alphabet & Number Series, Coding-Decoding, Mathematical Operations, Relationships, Syllogism, Venn Diagrams, Data Interpretation, Data Sufficiency, Conclusions, Decision Making, Similarities & Differences, Directions, Analytical Reasoning, Classification, Statement-Arguments & Assumptions.

🔬 General Science

Questions from Physics, Chemistry and Life Sciences of Class 10 level, based on the CBSE syllabus.

🌍 General Awareness & Current Affairs

National & International Current Affairs, Railways Awareness, Sports, Culture, Science & Technology, Economics, Politics, Awards, Important Personalities, and Government Schemes & Policies.
